ROL wheels is a high-end wheel builder that has made a name for themselves in the bicycle community. As their business and popularity grew, so did the need for a more robust website. The project was incredibly rewarding as the clients were fun to work and connect with and had amazing photography for us to use. Work was performed at TradeMark Media.
The homepage design was kept minimal and features “full-bleed”, randomized photos to showcase close-ups of their products.
We wanted to reinforce how many products ROL has available. At a glance, the user can view all available wheel models. At the bottom of the menu, the user can still “view all” by bicycle type.
After receiving a list of wheel specs from the client, I worked with the UX lead as well as the developer to design an interface that was both functional and fun to play with.
All main template pages were designed for the Expression Engine platform. Highlighted, is the product description page which would show available images, a video (when appropriate) and three tabs for corresponding information about the wheel.
