Thermo Fisher

Thermo Fisher, a science leader, equips labs, clinics, production lines, and field researchers globally. A COVID-driven traffic surge exposed their website's outdated content and user experience. I joined their team, leading visual design to push their design system forward. The results produced a user-friendly, content-rich website with a clean, modern aesthetic.

Homepage

The homepage content was designed to showcase top-level information within the site to assist in reinforcing the main navigation. Having a news feed from several different channels including social media was a big win for this site. The hero image was actually a video (shown below).

Introduction video

Shown is the video which appeared at the top of the homepage. The clips were extracted from a much larger video and a tecture overlay was added for a modern "science" touch.

Mega menu

The site navigation ran deep and included other brand under the Thermo Fisher umbrella. A clean mega menu was an imperative to house all of it in an organized way.
